10 - Exceptional movie. A classic. Needs to be perfect all around (i.e. Citizen Kane, Shawshank Redemption, Juno)

9.0 to 9.9 - Brilliant movie. Worthy of any accolades it receives. Highly recommended. Just missing that "je ne sais quoi" to make it a classic.

8.0 to 8.9 - Great flick. Fun movie to watch. Minor issues with characters, plot, or shooting style. You can't go wrong with these ones.

7.0 to 7.9 - Good movie. Par for the course. Nothing too bad. Nothing that makes me rethink that this will change how movies are made. These movies will make a good night out.

6.0 to 6.9 - OK movie. You could do better and a lot of movies that fall into this category are enjoyable but have their own niche (like zombie movies). Not for everyone. So read carefully.

5.0 to 5.9 - M'eh. Either there's a major character issue, major storyline issue, or major directorial issue. Could be a good movie for some...but not for most.

4.9 or lower - Don't freakin' waste your time!!!
